2016 Royal Irish Academy publishes Advice Paper on the Sustainability of the Northern Ireland Higher Education sector
The Royal Irish Academy has published an Advice Paper (No. 10) which considers the current (2016) position of the Northern Ireland Higher Education sector, and the emergence of a significant funding gap which will have major knock-on effects for the long term sustainability of the Northern Ireland higher education system, and will also serve to undermine efforts to stimulate FDI in Northern Ireland through the lowering of corporation tax rate. The paper, prepared by Professor Gerry McKenna MRIA, proposes a number of potential solutions for consideration and discussion.
